Native Craftworks is a small independent footwear company based in England with a simple aim: To make the best casual footwear there is. The shoes are designed in England and handmade in Portugal, by craftsmen using traditional techniques, learnt and developed over a lifetime. Shoes made the right way, made slowly and with the best materials. The leathers and suede have been made specially made for Native Craftworks. They have been developed to be thick and flexible enough to provide both comfort and support. The outsole crepe comes from a small plantation in Sri Lanka and provides the correct combination of softness and durability. For Native Craftworks the way a shoe is constructed is integral to the design, and they try to minimise the number of seams needed to create the shape. In this way the strongest, most comfortable, most aesthetically pleasing construction is obtained. Simplicity is key.
