Maru Sankaku Peke
Maru Sankaku Peke is the hand crafted division of Studio D’Artisan. MSP specialise in skills such and Tsugihagi, Boro and the use of traditional weaving and repairing methods such as Sashiko and Sakiori where hand craft is the key. The garments produced by MSP are made with skill and processes that are super time consuming which produce garments that are not only individual to the wearer but they have a specialness that only this type of work can achive. One of the brands signature techniques is the small triangular Tsugihagi patch work method, where small triangles are die cut then individually sewn together to produce super detailed work and and give the garments a truly individual look. The main purpose of this special division of Studio D’Artisan is to work hand in hand with skilled Japanese craftsmen to maintain tradition and develop new ways in incorporating these applications in a contemporary, individual style, so that these traditional skills can be passed down to future generations.
